No worries, Meital won’t let her new pet eat poor little Kuje, even if Kuje is about as smart as a carrot ;3

My little black Camellia Dynasty Wong slipped nicely through the Finnish customs, and so I met mr. nice EMS/post guy again o/ I’m amused by the huge resin egg he came in. The free glass eyes were quite sucky, their irises are totally different size, so I replaced ‘em with golden buttons. Awww, kitty be CUTE! I dunno if he’ll get a faceup, it is apparently very hard to spray black resin. GW’s Satin Varnish left white stuff all over, and I heard MSC isn’t much better :/ Oh well, he looks nice and black even without any paint!

Or new and new…Niko got his own Crobidoll wig, and Meital has pretty Aamu eyes <3

Alright, so I wiped off her previous eyebrows and did new ones. She looks quite serious now, which I quite like. I’ve been toying with the thought of buying her a third head, Ciel F02 which is the smiley, open-eyed version. But then I’m sure the Musedoll girls would laugh their butt off if I ordered the fourth Ciel head ;D

You can also see that Musedoll changed their resin again, it’s now more yellow than pink. Ah well, luckily it is not too noticeable when she is clothed.

I have the next Niko story ready and done, I should just translate it…I’ll do it tomorrow. I’ll talk about something else now.

I got Meital’s second head today from Musedoll, along with sweet letter: “Congrats, you own 3 Ciels now!” (No, just two, I sold that Ciel F02). No extra presents though for that, just nice postcards.

Anyway, one of my dreams related to this hobby is to learn to do the faceups of my dolls myself. It’s just frustrating – I’ve been in this hobby for a good while and can handle all the other aspects of this hobby like photography and sewing okay. But when it comes to faceupping, I feel like such a newbie. I have the eye and the vision, but I really lack the core skill of painting neat little lines. I mess up, wipe, curse, and even a simple faceup takes hours. But I really want to learn this thing, even if this takes me years! And I was brave and bought acrylics straight away and try to learn to use ‘em. Well, “nobody is a smith when born” like we Finns away, meaning that to achieve something, you’ll have to practise.

But today I achieved something: I made a faceup for Meital which I dare to show and say that hey, I did this. There are still so many things that need to be corrected, done better, done neater and uh…but at least I made a faceup that doesn’t bother me so much that I just want to wipe it off with my tears. It’s a start, no?

For some reason I suddenly have lots of sewing commissions. That’s alright, I like doing stuff and getting paid for it, I’m just stressing a little bit if my sewing is good enough ;w; But oh well, better just concentrate on getting them done instead of LJ-angsting! I already finished the first one:

My Niko (Dreaming Shiwoo, Meital’s big brother) is complete. Thank you, jesmo, for being a magical little creature <3 He is quite fantastic. He stole Huurre’s blonde fur wig which he’ll keep for now until my Crobidoll stuff arrives and those 15mm Eyeco eyes. I love ‘em on him because they are silicone and actually show, so he ain’t got just black stripes as eyes <3 I may buy him a pair of blue Eyecos, these are dark green.

And I also made a quick photostory!
