A long time ago I saw Kallisti of Blastmilk.com posting a photo of her BJD shoes, and I thought it was the cutest picture ever. And today when I browsed our Finnish dolly forum and spotted a photo challenge called “Shoe!”, I remembered that photo right away and told myself “oh, yes!”.

Sadly this isn’t even all, I missed some pairs and still have some coming ;D These days I’m mostly smitten by those Chinese shoes which are sold by for example Fatiao, they seem to have more designs to my liking. I’m not crazy about j-rock, gothic or casual styles – I like fantasy, pirate, circus and Victorian/steampunk elements. Oh, narrow boottips too. There is also always Dollheart. ALWAYS.

And yes, I myself own maybe four pair of shoes ;D

Even though the photo itself didn’t turn as I hoped, Meital is always the prettiest girl (and my secret favourite, but hushhh) <3 What I love about her character is that it’s not only her appearance which makes her beautiful – it’s because she has a child’s heart. She is a warm mirror which sees only the good in everyone. Stupid and naive? You bet your life. But in her world there really is nothing evil or cruel. Only kittens, lots of fluffy kittens.

…for this summer, probably. And what a sweaty one it was! I’m getting so fed up with this heat >_< Luckily all went well, and we had a very nice time. Except that near us a young gentleman decided it would be great idea to go swim in the park's small pool - butt naked. Ahh, Finnish people and alcohol, always the best combination...not.

I didn't photograph this fine gentleman whose mom would be proud, though. I concentrated on dolls

So we participated in Den of Angels’ Pukifee Summer Swap – and lo and behold, got so much cute stuff that I nearly fell on my butt Thank you, Amanda and Casper, for well-thought and beautiful gifts <3 I took some photos of Enne opening the package.

She’d fit in there herself many times ;D

Some Morrigan for a change! She’ll get new wristballs soon, and then she’s almost done. I want Sinyland’s black angel wigs for her, but they seem somehow expensive…well, maybe soon.

And now something complitely different, something that the title of this post refers to. I bought a new doll, which is not here yet. I suck at keeping secrets, so I will share after the cut ;3

Just to remind you folks that I still have my MSDs even though they’ve been bit in the shadow lately, and I’m not exactly sure why. But see, Halla has a new dress, and I’m making some new clothes for Aegis as well <3 Bought some patterns from Dollmore for Aegis, the shirt is huge and would probably fit a SD-sized boy O_o I cut the pieces without their seam allowances, and it still looks so big…we’ll see how it turns out.

I also bought one of my favourite Pokémons, Spheal, as a cheap piraaaatical Chinese plushie and boy does he look wonky. It’s somehow cute though <3 You know, when some things are so ugly that they’re cute?

I’m trying to spark up my dolly interests by doing some small shopping here and there. That’s all that I have energy for since my summer job is just so tiring But I enjoy doing something else than dolls, and luckily it’s weekend! ^_^

Lots of going in real life now, so I’ll probably be bit more quiet in the dolly world now. Don’t worry, BJDs are more than a hobby, sort of “way of life” to me these days :3 I have ideas for different stories and photoshoots, just need time and inspiration…

Anyway, I wanted to show the fantastic souvenirs my hubby brought me from London <3 Miniature Shakespeare’s plays, and my favourite ones, even! Yes, they include the text of the play too I’m very happy, not just because these are awesome but also because they were given to me by my most important person. This must mean he doesn’t think I’m a complete lunatic, at least hopefully

With some tweakings to her faceup and new Enchanted Doll eyes, I’d dare to say she’s finally ready <3 It's surprising how much character suitable, good eyes can bring. She's just so precious and makes me want to pamper her silly...

In other news, my first of May was spent with my wonderful friends, playing Assassin's Creed 2 and sewing doll clothes together. Maybe that's boring, but for me nothing's better than doing stuff together with my friends :3 I hope y'all enjoyed it as well!

Uncle K isn’t the only one sulking at the moment. Stupid flu, and stupid other things I’m not going to name here. I hope the next week is bit better!

This is probably an useless thing to write, but if for some unknown reason someone is going to purchase Bluefairy’s limited Chocolate May and wants to sell me the outfit…I know, nobody wants to give up that precious thing ;( It would be a perfect outfit for Halla, my circus princess. Maybe I should just go and hunt for mint green fabric with brown stripes or polkadots and make my own version. Mint chocolate, mmm <3
