…for this summer, probably. And what a sweaty one it was! I’m getting so fed up with this heat >_< Luckily all went well, and we had a very nice time. Except that near us a young gentleman decided it would be great idea to go swim in the park's small pool - butt naked. Ahh, Finnish people and alcohol, always the best combination...not.

I didn't photograph this fine gentleman whose mom would be proud, though. I concentrated on dolls

I visited a hanami party with some friends today in Roihuvuori, Helsinki. We had dolls with us, of course, here are some shots I took. Sadly you cannot see the park muchly from them, it was quite awesome atmosphere but I was quite lazy. Maybe the next time?

I had Enne and Niko with me. Sadly I forgot Niko’s wig home so he won’t be in the photos How stupid can you be?

What’s this “children of resin”? Well, it’s of course Hartsilapset, our Finnish BJD community/forum! With little over 1600 members, we’re the largest (okay, maybe also the only one ;P) national BJD forum, and the place where I spend a great deal of my daily internet time, especially in our IRC chat Anyway, the community turned 5 years old this April, and we had a little party to celebrate that in Helsinki this Saturday.

Okay, I cheated. With about 50 participants and 66 dolls, it wasn’t little. I was supposed to be the “official” photographer, but sadly, I kind got stuck in group activities/talking stupid stuff/making heaps of coffee/DRINKING heaps of coffee. Anyway, here’s my little stash of meetup photos:

We had our Halloween meetup yesterday; I didn’t bring a camera along this time but luckily jesmo allowed me to show this one. It’s her Nene with the bear hat I made and Enne comforting her cottonheaded twin sister.

Actually I wanted just to show that I did make my dolls Halloween costumes ;D Enne was a little ghost, looking quite much like Oogie Boogie from Nightmare before Christmas, and Uncle K…well, he had the same costume as he did in the previous Halloween party, I just pimped it up a little bit >_>; At least they got costumes! It was a fun party, thank you for the company even though I wasn’t extremely social, so tired from the move and all the stress :/

Today we visited Helsinki Craft Fair and no, I didn’t survive without buying stuff. I got me some ribbons and pompom trim, mohair yarn, black beads for my animal hats and licorice There were so much to look at, I definitely have to visit the next year as well!

Oh, and Mirkku got a new spiffy faceup, trust my little Jonna for making my characters looking like themselves <3 We RPG together a lot so she knows my characters inside and outside and I can just toss a head in her direction and tell her to "hey, make this Mirkku!" - and she does. I'll go and pick Mirkku the next week, so I think there might be at least pictures coming >:3

What’s cuter than pukifee Ante? Well, two of them, of course! Enne got reunited with her sister Nene (she belongs to Jesmo) and I took pictures ^3^

Ngh, so tired *_* There was a meetup in Oulu for few days, fun times but it’s good to be home as well!

Yesterday there was a dolly meetup in Ainolanpuisto, Oulu, and it was also very fun, one of the best meetups I’ve been for a while. Thankies for the great company *3* The rest of the entry will be pictures:

Okay, my petite-sized bear hat prototype didn’t turn out so well because the size was wrong, but luckily I found a suitable user for it – Deen’s Fancyboots Liechen *3* She has the perfect head for it, and beware, now I’m armed with actual measurements, so my next try will be better.

Phew, I made it through the crowds, noise, heat and stuff. I really feel myself old and had troubles recognizing if the little folks did cosplay something or did they just dress up casually like that. What’s up with dog leashes and “Free hugs”-signs? Oh, silly kids. Luckily I was allowed to just sit behind a table most of the time, I liked it <3

Oh look, it’s Leeke’s Dark Rihael! Their grey resin is so far my favourite, it’s a really pretty and dark. This is a moment when I do not think how cute Leeke’s little ones would look in grey resin. See, not thinking at all? The doll belongs to Taikatuuli, sadly, but I was allowed to play with him <3

Ah, how nice to be back “home”! I was gone for two nights, and yesterday we participated in a dolly picnic in Helsinki. It was really nice, gorgeous weather, lots of stuff to eat (ham rolls!), pretty dollies and nice owners. I took some photos but will post ‘em in a separate entry soon. For a moment I was bit upset though, because my camera’s focus ring started acting up and being a bit neurotic when it comes to my camera, I thought something was broken. Luckily it works again, and it was probably the heat which made the camera’s metal parts expand and caused the crankiness. I’ve always protected my camera in cold weather, never thought that sunlight, heat, black camera and black bag = not a good combo. Oh well, I’ll remember to keep my camera in shade the next time, and no permanent harm done! *phew*
