…for this summer, probably. And what a sweaty one it was! I’m getting so fed up with this heat >_< Luckily all went well, and we had a very nice time. Except that near us a young gentleman decided it would be great idea to go swim in the park's small pool - butt naked. Ahh, Finnish people and alcohol, always the best combination...not.

What’s this “children of resin”? Well, it’s of course Hartsilapset, our Finnish BJD community/forum! With little over 1600 members, we’re the largest (okay, maybe also the only one ;P) national BJD forum, and the place where I spend a great deal of my daily internet time, especially in our IRC chat Anyway, the community turned 5 years old this April, and we had a little party to celebrate that in Helsinki this Saturday.

Okay, I cheated. With about 50 participants and 66 dolls, it wasn’t little. I was supposed to be the “official” photographer, but sadly, I kind got stuck in group activities/talking stupid stuff/making heaps of coffee/DRINKING heaps of coffee. Anyway, here’s my little stash of meetup photos:

My little ones are already ready for our Finnish BJD forum’s b-day party! Outfits by me, it was really relaxing to sew on all the beads on Hilde’s dress <3 It's hard to believe even our forum is already five years old...if I remember correctly, I came in when the forum was already one year old, so in the summer, it's Aegis' (my first BJD) 4th birthday! Time sure flies. I maybe need to make a big post and go through all the changes there has been, lots of dolls have come and gone during these four years. I'm happy though that no matter what, Aegis is still here, my special little boy <3 And most of the characters I've come up with still remain.

Anyway, today is my official "do-absolutely-nothing-useful"-day! Although I've kinda failed it already since I've done some kanzashi flowers for my dolls and I’ve written some texts as well…but no more useful and productive stuff! I think I’ll just make some more coffee and go and finish Ace attorney Investigations, I’m already at the last case. I really love this game :3

Phew, I made it through the crowds, noise, heat and stuff. I really feel myself old and had troubles recognizing if the little folks did cosplay something or did they just dress up casually like that. What’s up with dog leashes and “Free hugs”-signs? Oh, silly kids. Luckily I was allowed to just sit behind a table most of the time, I liked it <3

Eeep, lately this hobby has felt almost like work; I’ve sold stuff and arranged group orders, so it has taken a while to just go through PMs and put things in order. Luckily all has went smoothly but there is always some minor hassle. Oh well, I’ve sorted almost everything and emptied my PM box (it went from 10% to 61% in just few days, how crazy).

Mirwaise is getting ready, here’s a shot of him with new eyelashes and eyes. I must say that I really love those Chinese glass eyes in bright colours, they catch light really well! He’s wearing indigo glass eyes in 12mm (from Pupapa), and I really like how they look like <3

I was also a good girl and re-strung uncle K and added some silicone to his joints here and there. Now he’s able to stand again \o/

p.s. I do not understand why people mark their monthlies “Soom LIMITED EDITION MONTHLY DOLL thisandthat”. It feels like showing off, because all of ‘em are limited anyway but they’re not really that special – you can get them through fairly long ordering period, they are not limited in quantity and Soom offers a nifty layaway anyway. I paid the standard price of SD-sized doll for Mirwaise because we did a split, he’s a special doll for me but I’m not expecting that everyone bows to me because I have one of TEH MONTHRIES. He’s just a great and beloved doll, that’s all. (And I call him “Soom Supergem Heliot” )

I didn’t know it is possible to get blisters on your fingers from knitting and sewing >_> It apparently is, my left middle finger has one, and it hurts. The worst thing is that it prevents me from doing stuff with my hands, and it is a long, boring, rainy Monday. Oh well, I can type, and I can play Pokémon, so I’m not totally doomed into total boredom. And I can always plan new stuff for the resin gang. My mom gave me some fine knitting yards and red lace – and little pink birds told me that I should get some Bambi fabrics all the way from Japan \o/ (Oh, and buttons and candy and icecream Re-ment oh oh – I’m going to be so broke but it is worth of it ALL).

You’ve all probably seen the new Dollzone 70 cm boys, so that’s that. But I have this strange feeling that I just might want to own Hong in tanned skin. Oh boys does he have a big chin, but it should suit his character. I just have no funds for new dollies for a while, I’m trying to save up for other things and concentrate on the dolls I already own. I do own 9 dolls, it should be enough for a while -_-

I’m also amused and happy how popular Marcia, especially dreaming Marcia, has become amongst the Finnish BJD people. When I ordered mine, there were Luts’ own pictures (and I do not like her official faceup at all) and one owner’s pictures in DOA. I’m glad I took the risk though because Enne is one of my dearest dollies and to my eyes, the most beautiful of the pretty MNF girls :3

So, someone did make a deer BJD. Luckily for my wallet it is…well…will someone be insulted if I say absolutely hideous? I think I’ll say it anyway. Those eyes are creepy as what. Booyah, a proper deer BJD would be so cool.

p.s. And I thought Mythdoll has been out of business for a while? Oh well.

Edit: Well this is much cooler – a dragontaur BJD! But why the tongue? I think that if Domadoll made a deer BJD, the world would be a better place.
