Oh yes, the usual story. I heard my friend was selling a male Volks SD-10 body and was first like “Naaah, I never liked Volks bodies so much, they seem so stiff.” Then I asked if I could take a look anyway. After playing with it for a while, I noticed that drat, I kinda like this one, the shape of the chest area is very nice and it’s so cutely slender and small. Then I asked if she’d take a short layaway…

A long time ago I saw Kallisti of Blastmilk.com posting a photo of her BJD shoes, and I thought it was the cutest picture ever. And today when I browsed our Finnish dolly forum and spotted a photo challenge called “Shoe!”, I remembered that photo right away and told myself “oh, yes!”.

Sadly this isn’t even all, I missed some pairs and still have some coming ;D These days I’m mostly smitten by those Chinese shoes which are sold by for example Fatiao, they seem to have more designs to my liking. I’m not crazy about j-rock, gothic or casual styles – I like fantasy, pirate, circus and Victorian/steampunk elements. Oh, narrow boottips too. There is also always Dollheart. ALWAYS.
And yes, I myself own maybe four pair of shoes ;D

Even though the photo itself didn’t turn as I hoped, Meital is always the prettiest girl (and my secret favourite, but hushhh) <3 What I love about her character is that it’s not only her appearance which makes her beautiful – it’s because she has a child’s heart. She is a warm mirror which sees only the good in everyone. Stupid and naive? You bet your life. But in her world there really is nothing evil or cruel. Only kittens, lots of fluffy kittens.

A spontaneous idea for today: instead of packing up for a short weekend trip (shhh), let’s take doll photos, yay! Too bad that I ran out of light…
I chose the twins because I just adore them to little pieces. It’s funny, they’ve been with me for four years and I’m only now starting to realize how I want them to be and perfecting their characters and appearances. They’ve changed so much, but their basic natures have remained – Aegis is the noisy, crazy little monkey and Halla is quiet, stern and mysterious. I think they finally told their story to me, and this is good. For a while, that is, I have a bad habit of disliking my old ideas and always coming up with new, better ones. Oh well, I do this for fun and everything is allowed in my dream worlds
Enough of the words! Let’s look at the pictures!

…for this summer, probably. And what a sweaty one it was! I’m getting so fed up with this heat >_< Luckily all went well, and we had a very nice time. Except that near us a young gentleman decided it would be great idea to go swim in the park's small pool - butt naked. Ahh, Finnish people and alcohol, always the best combination...not.
I didn't photograph this fine gentleman whose mom would be proud, though. I concentrated on dolls

Most of my meetup photos always look like this – a total chaos.

Hello, what’s up? Today I went to check some new photography locations and found quite the place <3 Halla, my mysterious ghost girl, models since she’s always the one with the least camera time ;_; She’s just very shy one, but sometimes she allows us to peek in her secret worlds.

This was a good moment to practise some flower photography as well :3

Why yes, of course I have to try everything new :3 Feel free to ask me questions, either doll-related or not!

I should just ban myself from all places which sell Dollheart, really. But roses, lace and pink stripes! *_* How COULD you resist?
I was amused when I noticed that nDoll has marked the value of the package (a middle-sized EMS package with two shoe pairs inside) for two USD. Luckily and strangely the package slipped through the customs, maybe the officers were sleepy from all the heat or something..
But pretty shoes, oh my gosh <3

Because now it’s two of them – a photoshoot of Unni and Enne. The shoot features some artworks I’ve done with the kids of our art courses <3 I used my new reflector in the setup and I’m very happy how it brought up the colours!

“What’s this?”

This little umm…seems that she’s a girl, or well, does it really matter? Her character is a wish anyway, and wishes have no genders.
Anyway, she’s Unni, my Lati Yellow Lea. I’ve wanted Lati a long time, and here she is! Usually Leas look very mopey and angry, must be because her default faceup has those angry eyebrows. Unni however looks just melancholy and serious. She looks quite good with the spare 14mm grey eyes I got from Captured in Glass, maybe she’ll keep them for a while…
Dress and bunnything are some recent crafts I’ve done :3
She came with second set of feet and tons of extra hands <3 Most of them have magnets which is VERY nice, Lati hands don’t look very nice to re-string. She’s solid little bugger but could use some sueding since she loves kicking me.
I’m still Fairyland/Pukifee fangirl, but I’m sure me and Unni will get along very fine <3 These little ballheaded creatures are my not-so-secret weakness.
